MasterPieces 1000-Piece USA Travel Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults & Teens

I had high hopes for this puzzle; the design and colors are good, and the box is really neat, but the puzzle itself had issues. The puzzle that we got was apparently cut with dull blades (or whatever they cut it with was not working properly), so many pieces were slightly stuck together by not having been cut all of the way through, or the paper/cardboard backing on the back was ripped from where the pieces had been separated by being torn rather than cut. With these issues, it really came as no surprise that the puzzle was also missing one piece. I'll add that we purchased this puzzle a year ago, so perhaps the quality has improved since then. Beyond that, this was what I would call a tricky puzzle. Many interior pieces were cut with a straight edge, so that it was not possible to easily find the edge pieces to start the puzzle. The pieces were also slightly on the small side. It happened that the day before, we'd done a White Mountain puzzle, so the comparison was very fresh, and in all ways we preferred the White Mountain puzzle. It had slightly bigger pieces of a better quality finish, all perfectly cut. The pieces felt better to hold and work with. The edge pieces were easily discernible. This puzzle has actually made us big fans of White Mountain puzzles.This was a very good puzzle - not too easy or too hard. I don't think I read the description well, because I did not realize it comes in a replica of a piece of travel luggage. Clever. If I had one criticism......I drove Route 66 and I am not sure these are real destinations/sites/locations. They mimic the character of actual locations, but I was hopeful to be able to put together a place we had stayed or had made a connection with.We loved the puzzle, the pieces were sturdy and fit together well, all was good until we realized there was one missing edge piece. ? We were hoping to frame, wondering if they could replace that one piece.Very clever packaged in a little suitcase! Not an easy puzzle to put together, but is a wonderful challenge for persistent puzzle fiends. Gave this as a gift... was I cruel? Highly recommend this puzzle if you are a National Park lover.Excellent puzzle. It was harder than I expected but was very enjoyable to do. The little suitcase container is simply adorable and has a nice metal clasp on it. Very pleased.Bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad and he loved it. After he completed it, I borrowed it and have really enjoyed this puzzle... the design and also the unique, different shapes of all the pieces. Only complaints are 1) it was missing a piece from the start! and 2) the picture of the puzzle that you use to help complete it is slightly different in color than the actual puzzle (so it makes it hard to find things)It's hard but they're still working on it. This was a gift for friends who traveled with us to Yellowstone. I'm not a fan of puzzles but our friends are!!!I loved the puzzle. I also appreciate that Masterpieces has started to include a folded picture with the puzzles. Thank you. This puzzle is the right amount of difficult without being too frustrating.
